Yo, everyone!
Haven't posted in a while, pretty much thought it's about time I did, so here's a random update!
Uni stuff
Baaah, uni is great. Handed in two assignments this semester, cutting them both pretty fine by starting them the day before and finishing them the morning they were due. Luckily I got them both in on time! Phew!
I got my first assignment back and was so lucky to have gotten a B! Not a B-, not a B+ but slap bang in the middle. To be honest, with the amount of effort I put in, I was super lucky. It helped that I really enjoyed the assignment which was on Milton's epic poem Paradise Lost. It is fantastic! I found that many other people on my course didn't enjoy it, but personally I loved it! Our assignment was to write a CV for either God, Satan, Adam or Eve. EVERYONE on the course picked Satan. Literally everyone. Can't say I'm surprised, though. He is very interesting to write on!
I'm waiting for my second assignment to be returned, which were two short essays of 400 words each on a topic of our choosing (I chose destructive imagery and power and order) in two texts (Pink Mist and Animal Farm) that we could pick from any we had studied thus far. Although I did quite enjoy the assignment, I have to admit, I really did struggle with keeping within the word limit! I have always had a problem with that though, I could wittle on for hours!
Along with attending my lectures and doing my assignments and stuff I've been having a lot of fun with my friend Isobel. It's fantastic to have a friend to go out drinking, shopping and just general socialising with, but it's even better to have a friend you can just slob around and watch movies with, something we do often. :P We decided that in the summer of 2015 we're going to go on a little trip to Paris to see the sights, have a few adventures and definitely not go there just so I can visit the brand shops they have. Nope, not at all. :P So that's another important thing that's keeping me sane! Knowing I can rely on my Isobel! <3
I'm back home now for Christmas, though. It's nice. I didn't feel Christmassy at all until I got back. The livingroom looks very festive so I was hit right in the face with Christmas as soon as I walked in! Fantastic! My mom and dad got a real tree, too! Which is really awesome. Everyone is coming round for Christmas as well, so that's going to be super cool.
Other stuff
I hit an awesome milestone in my weightloss. Ever since I've been wearing womens clothing (probably since I was about 13/14) I've been a size 12. Never bigger, never smaller.
Last week I bought a pair of size 10 jeans from Primark. Now, I've tried getting into Primark size 10 jeans before, and I couldn't even get them over my thighs, so imagine my face when I bought a pair, thinking "this is a great goal to aim for" and could already get them on. Yep, zipped up and buttoned and everything! Never in my life have I been able to do that. I compared them to the same jeans, just in a size 12 and you can definitely see the difference, and I can feel the difference. They're tighter and fit 1000000x more snug than my size 12 jeans do, so now I don't have to keep pulling them up every five minutes! They're amazingly tight in the leg, so skinny fit is an understatement, but they look awesome (if I do say so myself.) So, I strutted around in my size 10 jeans being all happy and stuff. It was great.
Also! My weight now from 11st 7lb is 10st7lb! I've lost a full stone. Very happy. I mean, it's taken a while, but I expected it to. The greatest thing is that it's coming off and staying off. I know a lot of people have trouble keeping off the weight once they've lost it, and my ridiculously changed eating habits have helped me soooo much. Now I just need to excercise more and on a regular basis to lose even more weight and keep it off! c: I'm really happy.
So, that's just a little update on my life I guess. c:
Thanks for reading, guys!
